2012 Civic with crack in engine. Car has 190000 miles. Is there any additive that will repair crack or should we get rid of car?

There are no additives on the market that can fix a cracked block.

Maybe JB weld might help 😆
I remember there was this post where they guy talked about JB welding the wheels onto the wheel hub because he stripped the studs. Not a good idea lol.

WOW! LOL! I can see a million ways that could go bad. {black}:amazed:

Depending on the condition of the rest of the car you might look into getting a good used low-mileage engine brought in from Japan. (Due to insane strict inspection requirements and confiscatory high taxes, cars in Japan tend to be retired after a few years with little mileage, and engines salvaged from them are sold all over the world.)

If the crack is in the block then the engine is a write off and you need to replace the engine.

Where's the crack? And more importantly why? If its running and driving fine, then seal it up with JB and hope for the best. What do you have to loose at this point.

If it's a cracked engine block, then your engine will need to be rebuilt. You could gamble on a used engine from a junkyard, but otherwise, it's time to say goodbye to that car.

Unfortunately the Honda Civic is known for cracked engine blocks as they age (not so much 2012 but still) so you would have to try your luck with a junkyard engine because its time to say bye-bye to this one. After that, you can sell it or go through junkyard engine after junkyard engine, and hope for the best.

Depends where the crack is
