[Solved] Crank no start

Topic starter

So tried to start my car as it sat for a couple of days while I wait to replace some stuff, and now it wont start. Never had this problem at all, the cranking sound is super weird, I scanned for any codes and nothing. I've had mixed opinions on the sound, some saying head gasket, starter, timing, compression etc. But I checked for a head gasket, seems fine, starter may be going out but shouldn't be causing this, timing belt was done 12 months ago and never had any problems related. Compression should be "Ok" I do have a possible valve stem seal issue, but it seems only minor so im lost why it wont start.

a running engine needs fuel. Measure your fuel pressure.

@imperator So the car was getting everything, fuel was okay but sometimes the fuel pump RELAY didn't work, so we swapped it with the horn relay and it runs like new.

good to hear. Thanks for writing back.

Compression should be "Ok"

Why not test it and be sure?

Also you will find information on troubleshooting a no-start problem in the site FAQ.
