Hi Scotty, i have a 2005 hyundai sonata gl 2.4litre 4 cylinder automatic. Bought it two months back.. 157,000 miles on it. Car stopped suddenly on a highway, check engine light popped up just before it brokedown. P0338, p0183 codes. Took it to firestone, they did diagnosis and suggested me to change crankshaft position sensor and timing belt kit. Hired a local mechanic to do it. Car still not starting but still cranking. Fuel guage also stopped working from that moment. Mechanics said fuel pump is good. I haven't done oil change for almost 6000 miles when it brokedown. And no oil on the oil stick when checked.  But the engine didn't cease. Already spent 1200$ for repairs but no progress. What should i do now? {black}:excitement:

See the FAQ.

Unfortunately if that engine was previously run without oil you may experience some unpleasant noises from under the hood when you get it started.

Few days before it brokedown. There were no sounds from engine, but my car started to vibrate when i stop at a signal

The engine is shot.

What do you mean by shot. Is that garbage and should i go for an engine change?
