Crankshaft Pulley removal with breaker bar and starter

Hi Scotty,

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey with 156k miles.

Yesterday I tried to remove crankshaft pulley with locked breaker bar by using a starter as seen in your video. I think the timing went off after that method since the minivan is stalling and could not start.

Do you think I damaged the timing belt by cranking?

  • Ive personally used that method on that same car actually, haha
  • I cant imagine you threw the timing off, cause your just affecting the speed of the crankshaft, obv if you did this to a cam somehow, youd be in trouble.
  • I would check that you didnt smash the crank position sensor.
  • Why we're you trying to take it off?
  • And when you try to turn it on, what exactly does the car do?
