Crazy car owners

Hey Scotty,

While ago I told you bout my crazy friend who owned the diesel mazda that refused to change his oil and you mentioned it in a video and titled it I quit 🤣 Well his engine went out, lost compression sold the car as scrap for 300 bucks. Now the idiot is buying a diesel BMW that's got 190k miles on it and gets angry when I tell him you can't afford this car.

Here's another 1 for a laugh.

My father in law owns a Kia Rio 1.4 2005 with about 80k miles on it. Low milage but the car is 16 years old.

Anyways last year after the state inspection I took it for wheel alignment, but before heading there I did an all round check on the car and realised the timing belt looked really tired like old tires past their date.

Checked the service slips (dealer service slips) belts never been changed, this is last year. Also the dealer schedules servicing on the milage of the car so it skips an oil change for 2 years sometimes because the old crones only do like 2k miles a year. Last year I told em this timing belt needs to be changed. I mean it's not like these crones don't know I work on cars, my personal workshops in their garage, they see me take the entire front end off a car to change parts, saw me pull a volvo xc90 apart to fix and many others. It's common knowledge that I know my way around a vehicle. What you guess their response is? The car place has been looking after the car for years and they said nothing is wrong the last time it was there. Ahem, maybe cause the lazy shits didn't unbolt the belt cover and look at it ever but ok. Hey, I aint arguing with anyone I let it be. Then I told them this car needs a service this is 4 months ago, its oils 1 year 8 months old and it's got a missfire on cylinder 3, the spark plugs are busted, also realised that looking at service slips, and madr an educated assumption they never been changed. Told em I'll service it just buy the parts. Old crones refused, its got to go to the dealership they say. So ok what ever dealership charges 400 bucks for 4 spark plugs and an oil change and does not replace the timing belt. Think they listen?  Oh no. The dealership knows best Ashley's stupid. Oh well.

Today the timing belt snaps. And with it some valves go out too. You know I hate to say I told you so. But man I couldnt help my self. Bet my bottom dollar they won't listen next time ether. 🤣🤣

Yeah my mom has a 2014 equinox and the timing chain sounds absolutely horrendous and I told her about it and she goes "I am not worried about it" so I told her that I hope she has enough money to buy a new car once this one blows up. People haha
