Hi Scotty
Do you know why Ford engineers redesigned the crank & camshafts on Ford & Mazda engines by using friction washers instead of a key design?
My 2009 Mazda3 with 100k mi developed engine issues so I junked it after discovering this crazy design & bought a 2011 Camry with 108k mi.
Toyota’s are reliable because they use proven engineering methods not stupid ones like Ford 😆
Love your show.
Kind regards from downunder.

The usual reason.
Because it's cheaper.
