Scotty, I have a 2011 Civic and is it ok to use cruise control going uphill, or should I turn it off and manually use the accelerator?

It’s fine to use. But pay attention because not all CC systems are very effective at maintaining a steady speed going up hills.
In terms of RPMs? I’ve did both cruise and no cruise going up a common hill (about 1-1/2 mile @ 3.5% grade, seems to do ok. But I always have my foot ready to take over if the cruise wants to ‘struggle’
I have a 2011 CR-V which is apparently based on the civic. When I go uphill with cruise control it will downshift when more torque is need to maintain the set speed. Idk if yours is the same though
