My cruise control in my 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 6 speed manual only works if I turn my steering wheel to the far right when I'm parked. I used to be able to still use the cruise control while driving slightly turning to the right. Could this be the clock spring spiral cable has gone bad?

Yes it usually has to do with the clock spring
