hey! i’m trying to fix my friends car before we all go back to home from college for Thanksgiving break. my friend said that her power steering got really tight almost immediately and I test it out to see what’s going wrong and I noticed that there is a leak. I cannot tell if i should get a new pump or rack or just simply get some stop leak. when i put in power steering fluid it almost immediately fixed the problem but it soon then leaked out. it also seems to me screeching for help which is maybe from air but I have no idea. have any ideas?

Find the leak and fix it. (UV dye can help.) So-called "stop leak" products won't help.
