It's the strangest thing...

Does anyone know for absolute certain where the fuel filter is located on a 2012 Chverolet Cruze LS with the 1.8-liter gas engine? I cannot find anywhere that sells them; not even GM/AC Delco. Is it in the gas tank like the 1.4 turbo or on the gas line under the car? I have heard it both ways. I am having decreased fuel economy in lower gears; highway hasen't changed. The idle stutters periodically as the engine warms up and the car will lurch slightly if you are in drive with my foot on the brake. I thought maybe the fuel injectors (which have been cleaned with the ATS cleaner) or the fuel filter. The MAF sensor is new and the throttle has been cleaned. There are no detectable vacuum leaks, but the fuel trims are a little off. Lean by about 7%. The car has a little under 63,000 miles and the fuel filter has never been changed.

Follow up,

I checked my purge valve, and it is not working properly and creating a small vacuum leak. I ordered a new one, so that should solve the problem.

The fuel filter is located in front of the rear wheel on the driver's side.
