Hello, am just curious, most new toyotas have super great city gas mileage, and now have more horsepower compared to older models but they still have thesame engines as the older models, Are they tweaking the engines and straining them more to produce more horsepower, or is it just better engineering?
And how do they get better gas mileage now?
It is Still just better engineering?
Besides the engines, Toyota also changes the transmission to get better mpg. Sometimes even the newer software can help with the gas mileage.
Japanese perfect things over time. Engineers at Toyota just dont install new things in toyota without testing. If a new feature is invented in toyota they handmade it first and it goes through some serious testing to see what are its pros and cons and then it is approved. Toyota still use some what of a same engine but it has been improved and changed over time
can you provide an example of two Toyota vehicles with the same engine but different specs?
