What is the most reliable, long last car or suv with all wheel drive? Must be 2017 or newer. Top price is $30,000 but I would prefer $25,000 or less. I want this car to last at least 15 years with out any major problems like blown transmission or head gasket. The only things I care about are reliability and all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive but no trucks please.
Are there any newer cars without the soy based wiring?
Car shopping is so brutal as a single woman. The vultures can tell I don't know too much about cars. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thank you very much!!!!??
A brand new base Camry with AWD is $27,000..
How much are you saving buying used?
Which ever one you go with, pick one that doesn't have a CVT transmission, go with good ol' auto transmission.
I would go with Toyota, and in this case the Toyota RAV4. Only get AWD if you absolutely need it, otherwise it’s more complexity and things to break (plus cost) down the line. Did you know on AWD if one tire is bad you may need to replace all 4 of them? So think hard about getting AWD.
Also, see my write up below on Rav4:

If you can’t get the RAV4, then go with the Toyota Camry (2nd choice).
In short it really depends what you really need car for
4x4 and AWD are different and work differently
4x4
Used for offroading and best for rock climbing
Help you get out of ditch and mud
Not made for higher speed or racing
Helpful if your a farmer or work on terrain
AWD
Meant for daily driving
Used for high-speed and better control of car
Gas hogs
Tires has to be changed together
My opinion
For daily driving get FWD
If care about speed get RWD
Now u asked which car you should by ?
It really depends on your requirements
If you big family and kids get Toyota rav4 or Honda crv
If you have small family get Toyota camry or Honda accord or civic(don't get 1.5T on civic they are bad)
They’re all good choices. Go with the one that is most appealing to you and has the most reputable seller.
Get 4WD, not AWD. You can use the 4WD when you need it and not have the constant wear and tear that occurs with an AWD drive train.
TBH, any of those vehicles would give you the highest likelihood of longevity, assuming basic maintenance.
