Thoughts on a solidly built cuv? Was thinking 2016-2018 rav4 with the 6 speed auto and 2.5 4 banger

The rav 4 is a solid choice. My only next choice would be the mazda cx5 or cx9. The Honda crv still has that crappy earthdreams motor in it so yeah seems just fine to me.

The Rav 4 is a great choice, as is the Honda CRV. You are looking in the right place for quality.

If you can squeeze out a 2019+ RAV, all trims come with the updated safety sense version 2. It has 8-speeds (better gas mileage), but if you put it in sport mode, it will only use 6 speeds only.
