CV Axle!

Hey Scotty! My 2002 Camry (158k miles) has the driver side cv axle boot ripped up, and now the oil that was inside the boot spilled all over. I don't plan to spend more $$$ on it since I have already done many repairs. Will this cause any damage to the axle further down the road?

Yep, once the grease is gone and dirt and grit get in there it's all over. If it isn't clicking yet on turns it will be soon. Replacement axles aren't expensive. If you can do the work yourself you should be able to fix it for well under $100 with an afternoon's wrenching.

Yes it will now start to lose grease, and the CV joint will wear out quickly.
