Usually not too noisy, whining usually means your bearings are starting to go. Other noises usually indicate other serious issues.

What kind noise are you hearing? They tend to be noisier than conventional transmissions but should not be making grinding noises.


Not so much grinding noises just louder than my other car that doesn’t have a CVT


The ones I've driven tend to have a low whining-type sound which is noticeable at very low speeds.


That’s what I’ve noticed too


From what I've read it's the sound the metal belt makes running on the pulleys..
