CVT maintenance

I have a 2013 Jeep Patriot with the CVT, 85,000 miles. There is no dipstick, and it appears to be sealed. Do you have any idea if these transmissions ever need to be serviced?

need to be serviced?

yes, and often, as they are failure prone.

no such thing. They had to get the oil in somehow.

Scotty shows how to change transmission fluid. Measure how much transmission fluid drains out and then put the exact same amount of fluid back in.

Open the fill plug before opening the drain plug. Don't let any dirt fall into the fill hole.

Check the owners manual for proper transmission fluid type.
