CVT question 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid. 40k miles.
Scotty- I have a CVT transmission that occasionally will "jerk" when cruising at a constant speed. Dealer always tells me they can't replicate. Is there something wrong or is just a wonderful trait of the CVT?
Could be a quirk.
Here is how your system works. Go to 4 minutes and 30 seconds and watch for about 5 minutes.

I don’t know for sure without seeing the car. But what could be engaging is the clutch.
Driving below highway speeds, the car will be driven by an electric motor exclusively. At highway speeds, the gas engine takes over. When it takes over, a clutch is engaged so it can take over driving. That may*** be what you are feeling.
Granted, this is just a guess, based on what I know of the Honda hybrid system.
