My wife’s Ford Edge hatch won’t stay open.I have seen but now can not find where Scotty suggested/recommended a product to place on the hatch pistons to prevent the door from slamming shut when open.
If anyone knows the product’s name I would greatly appreciate it.

Just get new pistons. You never said what year it was.

just replace the struts. They don't cost that much.

Try Dorman products, or just OEM ford parts.

New struts are relatively easy to install. And not too crazy expensive for most cars.
