Howdy Scotty Kilmer and community I am wondering if you can add Lucas Transmission fix, and or Lucas’s 50 weight Transmission fluid to a CVT transmission?, I don’t have any particular transmission year make or model in mind just as a general rule of thumb I am wondering if those CVT’s can handle that thick fluid ? Just curious? THANKS!

Considering how sensitive CVTs are to the fluid used in them I wouldn't try it.

No, CVTs require very thin fluid. It's not like an ordinary automatic transmission, where are a conventionally worn out one may not slip as badly with a very "thick" i.e. low viscosity fluid. CVTs are fundamentally based on belts and cones at their most basic. They operate based on different principles.
