CX-5 Performance issue

Hi Scotty I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 sport and I keep having a performance issue, going to work in the morning it drives as it should, however at other times i am not getting the same response.  I press on the gas and i'm not getting the Same acceleration it's weaker. It does accelerate but takes longer to accelerate when pressing on the gas. Car isn't moving the same and i have to give more gas to make it go.  one time going 30 mph i floored it and it barely accellerated I  have reported to Mazda, had them take it on test drives with scanner hooked up to it but never has any codes. Definitely an intermittent problem they cant diagnose with a scanner, Im freaking tired of it and wonder  if I should get rid of it. It has 63K and i just had a transmission drain and fill on Saturday. What do you recommend I should check for?  had mass airflow sensor replace 6 months ago.

The other thing I can think of is more diagnostic, in nature: Capturing Live Data scans when the problem occurs and then finding a good diagnostic mechanic (such as Ivan from Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics or Eric O from South Main Auto) who actually knows how to read and deduce from the data. It's a process, both inductive in nature, where anomalies in the Live Data are tracked down, interpreted and hypotheses are formed. I'm not sure that anyone at the Dealerships has that level of expertise and patience, given the inherently mercantile nature of Dealerships.

In any case, you'll have to go beyond codes and into Live Data. Don't throw any parts at it until there's an ironclad guarantee of diagnosis and repair.

Common reasons that the CX-5 won't accelerate: A place to start:

I counted NINE reasons: Five transmission problems and four engine and exhaust problems.

Did you use a brand new OEM MAF sensor?
