Cylinder One Misfire Confusion

Hey Scotty, I recently bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE with 132000 miles for $4800. Bought from a random dealer found on Facebook and thought it was a steal. Drove the car and it drove great. Bought it and found out the Evap canister is bad and had it replaced for 544 dollars. Then a bit later, check engine light came on and got it diagnosed it was a cylinder one misfire code P0301. I changed the spark plugs and ignition coils got it checked out by a mechanic and he said it was something to do with a piston ring. However after driving the car about 200 miles the check engine light turned off and hasn’t turned back on even after another 500 miles. The bulb hasn’t burnt out. It drives perfect and great on gas . Confused and need help thank you.

Brother runs okay leave it alone but if you want to see if the engine is in good shape have a mechanic in front of you do a wet and dry compression test to see if the piston rings are worn or not
