How do I replace my Daihatsu Sirion Cabin Air Filter

Hello Scotty,

I have a 2006 Daihatsu Sirion, I have the car for about 3 years now and I decided its time I should install a new Cabin Air Filter.

I can't seem to be able to open the compartment to insert the cabin filter inside. It seems a bit different from what I have seen on YouTube like its not meant to open. I have not done it before on this car so I can be mistaken.

Could it be that my car does not have a cabin filter ?

On the YT video the door to the compartment is black mine is white, here are some photos:

Thank you

Chris

There is a video here that suggests I cut a hole into the white compartment and then install a black door that I don't have, does this seem logical ?
