Hi Scotty! My mother drives a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 XLE AWD. Recently she noticed whenever she starts the vehicle the dashboard light does not come on. If you turn on the headlights, the dash lights due illuminate, however with them off it’s not. Could this be a simple fuse or relay that is bad?

He’s asking you if you use a dashboard cover, which may be affecting the operation of the light sensor, which regulates the intensity of your dashboard lights.
An easy solution may just be to drive with your parking lights on all the time.
No I don’t use a dashboard cover. Okay thanks for the suggestion.
Have you tried the speedometer dimmer?
Yes I tried the speedometer dimmer which is in the correct position
