What’s your opinion of a remanufactured engine? Specifically ATK/Spartan??
I have had customers buy those ATK engines and they had problems I would not buy one myself from them

Why is the sentence crossed like that? Did you do that on purpose? Just checking.
Would like to hear Scotty's thoughts on it but over the years I've found that mass-produced rebuilt engines tend to have problems. Worst I saw was quite some time ago where the worn-out main bearings had not even been replaced and it was necessary to rebuild the bottom end of the rebuilt engine. A good used one would have been better.
Best bet is probably to have your engine overhauled on an individual basis at a local shop with a reputation for quality builds. Of course this costs more $$$ so it depends on whether the vehicle is worth putting that kind of money into.
