Hi family.

I really need your help regarding a 1979 Nissan Datsun Cedric 220c. the previous owner changed its original engine SD22 its now running on TD27 looks good well-maintained body(need repaint) and interior though there are some parts that need replacement, since it's running on a different engine the mileage is relatively low on the new engine. should I buy it as my first car, are there any known problems with cars running on different engines other than theirs?

I wouldn't buy a frankenstein's monster/heart transplant victim as a first car

kindly asking what does that mean

I'm referring to the swapped engine. And I just realized this is a 79's car. Nice for a project, but not reliable daily driver.

thank you, at some point, I thought of having it for a project since it looks nice, my only concerns are engine transplant problems it's selling at 1,189.37. do you think I should proceed with this project?

My priority would be having a reliable car, so I would save my money for that. Projects come after.

thank you very much you have simplified my life great insight.

Depends what your goal is. What f you need to get from A to B daily, probably not a good idea. You need something that you know will work.

If your goal is to learn, it may be a good project.

thank you, actually, the car moves current owner uses it I noticed that it needs work to restore it to its former glory its a nice looking car, my only concern is an engine swap not sure if it will outlast my expectations
