DCT Fluids

Hi Scotty! I have a question about DCT (dual clutch transmission) fluid. I own a 2015 Mitsubishi Evolution MR with almost 100k on the odometer. I was wondering why diaqueen fluid is so expensive for this car. I’ve seen other cheaper alternatives to this fluid that meet or exceeds the standards such as SSP Pro redline. Will I hurt anything by  changing to alternative fluids? Thanks

Use the OEM fluid, that's a 6DCT470 - can tell you from owning one, you reeaaaallllllllyyyy don't want to skimp out on fluid quality, these break a lot, cost a lot to repair and you can't use the control mechanisms from the more common 450 used on Ford/Volvo products.

I would stick to the original fluid those transmissions are weak and I wouldn't chance it
