car went in limp mode few weeks ago. Took to dealership they said it’s transmission control module. Went forward with that repair. Yesterday got car back. Took for test drive on hwy. check engine and temperature lights came on. Immediately drove back to dealership. Got a call today from them and upon further diagnostic its the pcm. Transmission control module was $1400. Guy said $500 for pcm. Waiving cost of labor and diagnostic. Two faulty modules?!  Told him i will call back tomorrow with decision.

What should i say when speaking to service manager tomorrow?

Why would you take old out of warranty vehicle to dealer? With that said please look for independent shop that has a good reputation, and the equipment to diagnose your vehicle.

Yeah I would take it someplace else. But with that age and mileage on that car, I would not be surprised of multiple modules failed.

Scotty has a substantial amount of disdain for Chrysler dealerships, given his not infrequent comments on how these dealerships fail to serve or even care about legitimate customer interests.

Here's what I would do: They would have to GUARANTEE that this will fix the problem. And that the car will not be returned to you until these problems were taken care of. If they hem-and-haw, take it elsewhere.

You don't want to shell out additional money and find out that the problem has not been fixed.

And, given the age of the vehicle, you might want to think whether it's time for something else.

My wife drives a Buick. It is a nice car; We bought it new {2017}.
This is her third Buick. We know the Dealer; and would not trust him; except for the "new" car warrantee. After the Warrantee has expired I will take it from there. I drive a Bimmer; and I will never be overcharged by those people again. I found a very reliable trained BMW certified mechanic; WHO gives me a good repair for a inexpensive price, when needed. I have used this repair shop all 4 of my Bimmers!
