Not sure if transmission issue but the fluid is somewhat dirty, but still has pink/reddish tones. The level is correct. The truck will shift into gear (at least the tach shows it's in gear), but won't move. You can Rev up the engine, but it won't progress. After waiting anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so, it'll kick into gear and begin moving. Once it's going, it goes. However, it may have trouble moving when you come to a stop and try to progress again. But like previously mentioned, most times once it's going, it drives fine. It seems like it may be an issue when cold, but maybe when it's hot it does okay? I'm not sure, I just bought this so I'm unsure of the previous transmission care, and the previous owner states this is a new issue.

Transmission is starting to go out what happens is when it's cold and it won't move your pump inside the transmission isn't pumping the fluid right and isn't building up pressure to make it move. Typical on a Ford of that age you might decide do you really want to rebuild that transmission or get another vehicle. Or just live with it if you don't mind warming it up a little
