Changing fluid that late in the game is a crap shoot if it has not been done before. You need a transmission expert to analyze the trans internals using a fancy scan tool.

@chucktobias fluid was changed before

Does the transmission shift better if you manually shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear using the shifter?

@oskool its better but still laggy when changing to second with the shifter that’s why im confused

@mike579 Here's a video of a 2004 Honda CRV with a delayed shift issue. It turned out being a corroded ground wire for the transmission. I found it interesting so decided to share it with you. https://youtu.be/AldpuGkyyXQ?t=952

is the fluid at the correct level according to the instructions in the manual? How long ago was it changed, and what did it look like?

That's about all you can do before running diagnostics or it or taking it to a specialist.

not sure if the shift solenoid is sticking or the computer is having a issue

normally that would throw a diagnostic trouble code.

@imperator level is correct and was changed 2k miles ago and the fluid looked decent was just a light brown but still had red in it if that makes sense

Delayed shift crv

every shift, or just certain gears?

@imperator usually just from 1st to 2nd sometimes 3rd but mostly just 1st and 2nd

Call your local Honda service (or research yourself) for TSB’s and software updates. That sounds like an internal issue and more investigation is needed with the proper tools.
