Hi
2012 Kia Sorento diesel 4 cyl 2.2L, odometer 686,000 km.
The temperature indicator doesn't go higher than middle,
So I use a digital OBD2 HUD display which tells me when car is overheating.
But the instrument cluster doesn't show higher than middle. Middle is normal operating temperature.
But it never goes higher than middle. Does this mean it is faulty?
I rely on my digital HUD to prevent overheating because the instrument cluster is unreliable for this on my car.
What could be causing this?
What could be causing this?
Quite a few things. Have you tried testing your temperature sending unit?
What does OBD2 say the coolant temperature is when the car has completely cooled down for 8 hours? Is OBD2 temperature the same as the ambient temperature outside?
