Hey Scotty,
I tried diagnosing my 2016 Honda Odyssey with my procomp scanner. It instructs me to turn key in on position without starting. It’s a push start so I push the button to turn on and my scanner keeps reading the message to “turn KEY on” over and over. Is there something else I should be doing without buying a new scanner or taking it to a shop to get checked?

Do you push the start button without putting your foot on brake?
Yes, one push turns on some power, a 2nd push turns on all the power including dash vehicle lights such as (check engine, oil change etc.) and then of course the foot on the brake will kick it over and turn on.
So probably your scanner is not working fine

Try starting the vehicle
