Re: 2013 Malibu LS, 2.5L Ecotek w/air. As Scotty says ya gotta have the right tool. Question: what are the top technically advanced handheld diagnotic tools (make and model) that a service technician will need to be able to solve all codes on this auto? Not having any issues now, just want to inquire about this important tool BEFORE I hire a technician or shop. Ain't got the tool, will hire someone else. Thanks, Bill G

There are many tools that can do the job, and you can be pretty sure a professional mechanic will have one. He wouldn't be able to get anything done without one.
