Hi,

while i was working on my car (2006 Lexus), i must've forgotten to plug the alternator harness back in. the next day i started my car and the car was losing power. i jumpstarted the car but saw the alternator wasnt charging the battery. only later did i find out that the harness was unplugged and reconnected it while the car was running. the car seems fine now with no issues. could i have caused any electrical damage leaving the alternator harness unplugged? TIA

No I wouldn't think it would do any damage to the car except drain your battery.

Now if you drained your battery to where it needed to be jumped, you may have hurt your battery a bit.

Most batteries used in cars are for starting, not deep cycling (Draining) to very little charge. It can shorten it's lifespan.
