Diesel engines

Hey Scotty, I’m curious as to why car manufacturers call diesel engines eco-diesel‘s. I drive diesel trucks for a living and I know that there is nothing clean about them. Diesel engines are dirty, they take a ton of fuel, DEF, oil and they smoke and pollute like an 80s casino
