My girlfriend's dad has a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins turbodiesel and automatic transmission. It has 221,000 miles on it. His truck stalls if you come to a stop in drive and don't put it in neutral within a couple seconds. You pretty much have to drive it like a standard. What would cause it to do that?

Many things can do that but offensive warrant transmission are torque converter in the transmission causing too much strain
