Differential fluid in the transfer case

Hi Scotty:

love the show

I have a 2011 Dodge Charger RT Hemi AWD - I had the transfer case fluid changed but I think, based on the invoice, the mechanic used synthetic differential fluid in the transfer case instead of BorgWarner 44-40 transfer case lubricant (as suggested in the manual).

is that ok or should I have it drained and refilled? No issues but I had it done only about 10 days ago.

Thanks

Ahmed

Yes. He botched the job.

The BW4440 fluid is more like ATF than gear oil. Much thinner.

I think, based on the invoice,

well make sure. That could have been for the axle.
