Hi there, I have a 2010 Xterra Off-Road with 216000 miles on it, 6 speed manual transmission. I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the VDC. I can't say enough about how much I cannot stand this "feature" in these Nissans. I can hit the button to turn it off, but it is automatically engaged upon starting the vehicle. I understand why it was created but there should be an option to disable it completely. (I'm also not a fan of ABS, especially when off roading). Any input you have is always welcome and appreciated!
Well it's part of the computer system. Just keep pushing that button. You can't permanently disable it easily. As for the ABS, if you don't care you can just unplug the power to the ABS modulator. Then it won't work. But of course you'll get lights all over the place while you're driving cuz the computer knows that
