Kia soul 2015 with leather seats and heat and ac,.. heat only in back seats. I believe all seats connected to airbags.
I had Locksmith come for a new fob and all his codes failed To provide a key and there came the $140 upcharge which I didn't pay because wasnt sure if it was legitimate. But if the failure to provide a keyfob was legit, I think it's related to the fact that after disconnecting seats my power is off on veh. He did use a portable battery charger while attempting to do his work. Lights inside cab came on. Once taken off the charge the car has no power again. Now I have no way to turn on veh due to no fob and power. Have to get towed but am leary because Dealership want to charge me my entire savings and regular mechanics are illusive.. " uh, put your seats back in, that might work".. I can't, I live in my car!!!
What can I do personally? Reset something? Did removing seats connected to airbag and heat and a/c mess with sensor or something else? If I can't do anything personally, what advice and if warning can be provided that will minimize getting stiffed with an unnecessary bill. Like where can I guide the "professional" to look at rather than messing with unnecessary parts just to charge me more.
Stranded and confused.
Well it sounds like you had an idiot working on your car. If he had a powered up while he was working he could have shorted it out. All kinds of stuff in that car which is the reason that it won't start. Seats don't have anything to do with a car and not starting. You might get an airbag warning light or something but the car will still start. I thought of the guy. Sure did some crap out doing that work
