Hi, I realize this is not a question, I just went to Honda dealer to pick up some tranny fluid. I had to park on the sales side of the dealership. In front of the main doors there were two vehicles. One was a 2022 civic 2.0 liter. The sticker said engine made in USA, transmission made in Mexico, I can't remember where it was assembled. The other was a 2022 HRV, engine made in USA,transmission made in Indonesia, assembled in Mexico. This will make me lose all faith in Honda. If Toyota goes that way I will not have my two vehicles too choose from, what can I buy that's dependable now.
To be honest, I would rather buy a Honda 100% made in Mexico than a GM, Stellantis, or Ford made in the USA.
It's a race to the bottom, and car makers that have the cheapest cars with the most gadgets will sell the most
RIP. However, the Civic Hatchback IMO is the better deal than the sedan with more space, better looks, and the manual tranny can run forever, which is no longer available in the sedan.
Ugh.
Disappointed with a car dealer? Shocking!
