Hey scotty,
I just bought a 2001 Jaguar S-Type that's in incredible shape only has 57,000 miles. I bought it from a gentleman who used to play for the 49ers, Sam Sterling and the history behind it was he bought it from a pastor who only used it on Sundays for church, then he bought it under the presumption that it'd help him after back surgery which didn't work only used it for 1000 miles and so now it's In my hand.
My question is the center console right behind it where the ac vent is that entire assembly piece not just the vents for the passengers broke off after messing with it.... unfortunately I couldn't fit it back in and broke two prongs that hold it on the top. I have a a replacement piece that matches however I don't want to Break it. Do I need to remove the whole center console to fit it in place or should it snap on easily? I ask because I couldn't fit the old one back in even though the bottom prongs were intact. If anyone knows please I would love to know.
For my experience you have to take a dash apart and put them in from the inside
Thank you! I'll see if there's videos floating around on how to take it off myself as going with a jag shop in dallas might be costly with only labor costs.
You'll have to take it apart. It definitely won't snap in.
Appreciate it! I just need to figure out how to remove it myself or I'll have to have someone do it instead
