Hey guys I have a 2015 outback with the base 4 cyl engine and the CVT. I was wondering if the CVT is the good one, or one of the Jatco based ones that is prone to braking. Also, Im around 65k miles, so wondering if there is any preventative maintainence that I can do to keep this thing running.

That CVT is not Jatco; it’s Subaru’s own design.

I would change the ATF on that car every 30-40k miles to get the most out of that transmission.

Its a bit weak and they tend to go out around 100k miles, keep up with ATF changes.
