Do Toyota Hybrids Burn Oil?

Hey everyone! I have a 2015 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid with 100k miles. I was wondering if hybrids have an issue of burning oil because of the frequent start stop of the gasoline engine, similar to cylinder deactivation?

It's not similar to cylinder deactivation.

At 100K miles if it was going to burn oil it would have started already. I'd be more concerned with the decade-old battery (if original) and generator.

@chucktobias Why is it not similar to cylinder deactivation? Isn't the engine constantly being turned on and off?

That's not what cylinder deactivation does. Look it up.

@chucktobias sorry i meant start/stop technology

Just the ones with the 2AZ engine like the 2007-2011 Camry Hybrids and Lexus HS250h.
