Well if the data is accurate, and it was collected and analyzed rigorously, then there must be some element of truth to it. I'm not about to go research the sources though.
Not when they claim that an Impala will last longer than a Camry or Accord.
it makes sense based on the methodology they used (explained in the corner). The Impala is a fleet vehicle. It won by sheer number. Also notice the title says "potential".
Well realize that they’re talking about the top 1%, not the average.
Neither does it account for reliability.
The Impala surprises me. I can see it for the older Impala’s maybe late 1990’s and early mid late 2000’s. But the ones with the EcoTech engines and the belt drive “hybrid”, I don’t see coming close to 200,000 miles.
Yeah the Impala being there is funny. Maybe them being used as fleet, people were putting tons of highway miles on them, in that case I could see it.
I have a friend with a nearly new Impala, he had major brake issues at like 7k miles I think.'
I feel like those other chevy and gmc SUVs that made the list may have been swayed by fleet vehicles. Although in the past, they were quite reliable. My friends 02 yukon has about 415k on it, and I have a bunch of other friends that has 3-400k as well.
