Hey Scotty long time watcher and fan. I got a question for you. I have a 2008 dodge ram 1500 4.7 with 150635 miles on it. Some times in the morning it wont shift into gear like when it's cold or it's been sitting overnight. I have to shift it in to Neutral wait 2 or 3 seconds then it works fine. Yesterday it acted up really bad the RPMS would climb when leaving from a stop then it would crawl forward till is shifted to 2nd gear. It also wouldn't down shift when you tried to accelerate. I took it to AMMCO this morning to have them look at it and it was running just fine this morning what could be causing these intermittent problems?
Has the transmission been serviced regularly?
You're lucky it wasn't acting up when you took it to AAMCO. That joint is one of the most crooked in the business. You should probably have a transmission expert evaluate it, but not those bums.
