My son owned 2010 Dodge Charger and wrecked it in heavy fog. Then bought 2008 Dodge Charger with 2.7 engine. Took it to transmission shop. to get the 2010 3.5 engine and transmission put into 2008 Dodge charger. Had to get computer programmed for 2010. Car has new battery, but will not hold charger. Has to be jump started. Also will not idle. Will a new computer cause same problem. My son says because of dodge security system. New computer will not help. So we would like to get this car running. So we can sell it. Please help us to know what possible problems it may have.
You start swapping engines and then transmission from one car to another there's no saying the wiring harness the computer the sensors are going to work correctly with any computer system you created a hermaphrodite monster. Good luck with it but if you're near Clarksville Tennessee want to bring it over here I'd check them out free and I at least get a good analysis of what the heck's going on assuming my computer is can read the data sometimes you start swapping things out you can't even read the data anymore
