Im in the market for a Dodge Charger. I seen one (it’s a 2009 with 121K miles) it has a blown motor but, it’s only 1000 bucks.. I was wondering if it would be a smart to buy a motor and put it in the car
or just look for one that doesn’t need any repairs
@dontemoe
Honestly do not twist that with a 10 foot bargepole even though back in 2009 Dodge made their cars a lot better it is likely to have been driven very hard and I would not take your risk with your money
Yeah you may be right, it looks really clean but I think they rode it hard as well unless it was a freak engine blowout
$1,000 is nothing for a car these days but if the motor is blown who knows maybe the transmission shot too you'll never know so I'd be kind of leery about that
On a quite day you can hear a Dodge rust. I see Chargers everywhere here in the rust belt, I'm amazed at how fast they rust out. Look for a more reliable brand.
Short answer is no. Save your money and put it toward something better.
