2000 Dodge Dakota v6, 66k miles, having trouble cranking from cold. takes about 6 seconds to start, if I press the gas peddle when trying to start it it kills. when coming out of reverse into drive before pressing the peddle it’ll sputter and fine or sometimes it’ll kill, if I give it gas during that sputter it kills immediately. After starting it successfully it runs fine, when turned off and immediately restarted it cranks up fine too. I’ve gotten the spark plugs replaced and my battery is good but don’t know what else I could do to fix it .
Well many things can do that. But especially dirty fuel injectors. So you might have the fuel injectors pressure clean to try to clean them up or even attempt some good fuel injection cleaner in a tank to see if that helps. Then you pray it's not injectors wearing out cuz they're very expensive and not that easy to test
