I have a 1995 dodge ram 2500 v10 and cylinders 5 and 10 are not firing... I believe with he studying I have done, it is the ignition control module? I have replaced all spark plugs, plug wires, and both coil packs... has anyone ever seen this problem?
Well it could be a whole host of things blown head gaskets ignition coils could be lots of things including the module you're better to test it out then you just guess
Well i have replaced ignition coils, it is a non digital dash, so i dont know how i would read codes...
so how would i test that
Also, when i unplug the control module the engine still runs, for some reason. i am confused
Test it using this diagnosis - https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/misfire-4/
Hmm, it is a firewood truck right now, it hasnt been on the road for a couple years.(since it had this problem) and it has been running this way for a while, it is always running on 8/10 cylinders without check engine light, however sometimes the check engine does come on, and at that point i think it has lost more cylinders, and it has close to no power and i turn off the truck to reset the computer, and the check engine light is off when i start it back up.
no i have not sean this problem
