Hi there my dad has a problem with his truck. His truck is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V8 Hemi. I'm not sure about the trim level but it is a crewcab and is pretty basic. The truck has 150,000 Miles and when starts it shows on the small screen, light trailer break disconnected. Sometimes the screen displays service electric trailer break. On the trailer break screen it shows CF. If anyone has had this issue before and can help resolve it, it would be appreciated.
Well the electric braking system is very complex and you would really need a mechanic with a dealer level scan tool to find out what's wrong it obviously has a problem but it's not a do-it-yourself repair unless you can find a wire that got disconnected or a blown fuse
I appreciate the response we are taking the truck to a diesel mechanic who has the tools to do it. Let's see how it turns out.
