Power Brake 2011 Mariner

Hey Scotty,

Got a 2011 Mariner where my brakes overheat. I’ve replaced the calipers, pads, bled all lines and master cylinder but I’m still having the same issue. I’ve also noticed when the engine is on, there is a crunching noise when I apply the brakes but no noise when the engine is off. Could this still be the cylinder or would it be the power brake thingama junk?

Second question, would it be worth it to fix it or trade it in for something newer during this chip shortage? Not gonna get anything from 2020 or 2021 mind you.

It’s the V6 model with automatic transmission and has 155,000 miles on it, not sure how to troubleshoot the power booster brake module yet.

if they're overheating, they could be dragging. Try replacing the rubber lines.

Thanks, I’ll see how much they are. The front brakes were a little harder to bleed than the rear so that might fix it.
